Description: Dr. Vinyl & Associates, Ltd., offers franchises for the custom repair and re-coloring of vinyl (including vinyl siding), leather, fabric and plastic covered surfaces of automobiles, boats and other motor vehicles, pinstriping and other automotive after-market products operated from a mobile van mainly for commercial markets.
Franchise Offer: Dr. Vinyl's standard Franchise Agreement grants the franchisee the right to operate a business offering Dr. Vinyl Services under the Dr. Vinyl System and Licensed Marks from a mobile van. The initial franchise fee varies depending on the sixe of the franchisee’s territory.
Financial Assistance: The franchisor does not offer any direct or indirect financing nor do they guarantee any note, lease or obligation.
Training and Assistance: The initial training program consists of classroom and on-the-job training at Dr. Vinyl's principal offices in Lee's Summit, Missouri. In addition to the two week training program, Dr. Vinyl provides the franchisee with 7 additional days training at the franchised location. 5 days of such on-site assistance will be provided after the franchisee completes the initial training. The additional 2 days will be provided approximately 6 months after the franchisee completes the training. Dr. Vinyl's provides the initial two week classroom training program for up to two of the franchisee’s employees annually.
Territory: The franchisee is granted a franchise to operate a Dr. Vinyl Business from a mobile van within a defined geographic area. The franchisee is prohibited from soliciting potential customers which are located outside their area and from performing Dr. Vinyl Services outside their area.
Term of Agreement and Renewal: The term of the franchise agreement is 10 years with the option to renew for an additional 10 years if certain requirements are met. There is a renewal fee of $1,500.
Obligations and Restrictions: The Dr. Vinyl Business must at all times be under the franchisee’s direct, full-time supervision (or a managing partner, shareholder or managing member who has satisfactorily completed the training program) or a manager who has satisfactorily completed Dr. Vinyl's training program. The person who is responsible for the day-to-day supervision of a Dr. Vinyl Business may not engage in any other business or other activity, directly or indirectly, that requires substantial management responsibility, time commitments, or otherwise may conflict with the franchisees obligations under the Franchise Agreement The franchisee must offer all Dr. Vinyl Services authorized Dr. Vinyl for Dr. Vinyl Businesses and may not, without Dr. Vinyl's prior written approval, offer any type of service or sell any product Dr. Vinyl does not authorise for Dr. Vinyl businesses.
