Description: Each Monkey Shine Facility offers the general public automobile and light truck washing services through one or a combination of the following formats: (I) in-bay automatic car washes in single and multiple bay configurations which use touchless and friction washing technologies (2) express tunnel car wash operations in single and multiple bay configurations in both touchless and friction washing technologies and (3) self-service car washes in multiple bay configurations where the customer washes their vehicle using wand technology. A Monkey Shine Facility may be configured to include one or any combination of the above car wash formats. In addition, vacuums are available for use and selected automotive products are offered for sale through vending machines.
Franchise Offer: Monkey Shine Franchising, LLC is offering franchises for the operation of a car wash facility under the service mark "Monkey Shine". The franchisee pays an initial franchise fee of $5,000 per Self-Serve and Automatic Car Wash bay up to a maximum of $25,000. The initial franchise fee is $25,000 for an Express Tunnel Car Wash. If the franchisee combines a Self-Serve or Automatic Car Wash with an Express Tunnel Car Wash, the maximum initial franchise fee is $25,000.
Financial Assistance: The franchisor does not offer any direct or indirect financing nor do they guarantee any note, lease or obligation.
Training and Assistance: The franchisee or the manager is required to attend and complete the initial training program conducted at the times and location designated by the franchisor. The initial training program consists of approximately three days of classroom and hands-on training. The initial training may be conducted in Greenwood Village, Colorado or other locations designated by the franchisor. Monkey Shine Franchising does not charge the franchisee for training for up to two persons, although the franchisee is responsible for any other costs incurred in attending, the initial training program.
Territory: The franchisee does not receive an exclusive territory under the Franchise Agreement, nor the assurance of a specific distance between franchised locations. The franchisor reserves the right to establish at any location other franchised, company or affiliate-owned Facilities that may compete with the franchised location.
Term of Agreement and Renewal: The term of the franchisee agreement is 15 years with an option in renew for an additional term of 15 years if certain requirement are meet. The renewal fee is $2,500.
Obligations and Restrictions: The franchisee is not obligated to participate personally in the direct operation of the facility, although the franchisor recommends that the franchisee does so. If the franchisee does not participate in the day-to-day operation of the facility, the franchisee must designate a manager to be responsible for the direct on-premises supervision of the facility. The franchisee must use the franchised location solely for the operation of the Monkey Shine Facility and the sale of products and services approved by the franchisor. The franchisee must keep the facility open and in normal operation for the minimum hours and days that the franchisor may specify.
