I noticed lately that my business blog is getting a little too big! Some say size matters for bloggers. Size…ahem…of blog posts that is! So I have decided to make some changes to Franchise Direct’s blog layout to make it more user friendly to all you franchise business bloggers out there.
Firstly, I’ll introduce myself. I am the Franchise Reporter and I will be regularly posting franchise newsbytes, tips and trends and general franchise information on this blog, to keep you entertained and informed about the franchise industry.

According to the Franchise Satisfaction Index published in 2007 by the Franchise Business Review, a leading market research company in the franchise industry, most Franchisees are indeed happy with their decision about franchise ownership.
The firm conducted a survey of more than 25,000 franchise owners over the course of two years to measure the overall satisfaction levels of franchise business owners. (more…)

Pizza in Kuwait… Gap jeans in the Phillipines Gourmet Burgers in Turkey-these are just a few examples of how international franchising is growing at a tremendous rate. US-based Pizza Inn is expanding into the Middle East and Asia. The Gap is opening eight stores along with four Banana Republics in the Philippines. Carrefour, a popular French food retailer, is launching operations in Poland. And the UK-based Gourmet Burger Kitchen will soon be selling its tasty wares in Turkey. (more…)
