We were only recently the outstanding success of Bright-Star Healthcare and their CEO and founder Shelly Sun. More evidence has come explaining the excellence of this franchise. The home-care franchise has been named America's fastest growing woman-owned business.
The news was reported recently in the Huffington Post. The awards themselves were distributed by the Women Presidents' Organization and were conceived as a way to celebrate the great success that many female CEOs are enjoying in the world of business at the moment. Thirty percent of business in America are now owned by women and Bright-Star is leading the charge.
Of course, this is BrightStar's second year at the top of this poll. As a press release revealed: "BrightStar, a home healthcare and medical staffing company based in Illinois, has taken the top spot for a second consecutive year. Shelly Sun, president and chief executive officer, who plans to take her business public, saw her 10-year-old company’s revenue double in two years from $51,732,716 in 2009 to $156,812,048 in 2011."
We're delighted to see women-owned businesses doing well. But we're extremely excited to see that for the second year running, a franchise is topping this poll charting the gains of female entrepreneurs.
