Order Domino’s With Zero Clicks
Domino’s Pizza is launching a zero-click digital ordering platform. The pizza brand is committed to providing customers with the most convenient ordering systems, and their new Zero Click app allows customers to place their Easy Order with zero clicks. All you do is download the app and link it to your Domino’s Pizza Profile. When the app is opened, your saved Easy Order is automatically re-ordered without any extra clicks. The app shows a 10-second countdown timer before the order is placed, allowing customers the chance to stop their order.
Johnny Rockets Takes Food Trucks International
Johnny Rockets has opened its first international food truck in La Serena, Chile to support its on-the-go consumer base and to reach more guests in areas with high foot traffic. The addition comes at the request from franchisees asking for more mobile options to complement their full-service restaurants. The food trucks are an add-on option for franchisees that offer the restaurant’s same fresh, cooked-to-order hamburgers, sandwiches, and home-spun shakes. In addition to the Chile location, Johnny Rocket food trucks will soon be introduced to Nigeria and around the world for catering and special events.
SONIC Instagrams #SquareShakes
SONIC Drive-In has teamed up with Goodby Silverstein & Partners and Instagram celebrity Chef Jacques La Merde to create shakes that are designed for and only available through Instagram. The #SquareShakes are artfully designed shakes that come in square containers complete with square tray and straw. The shakes will be available to Coachella festival-goers on April 16 exclusively through geo-targeted sponsored ads on Instagram: just tap to order. Customers can then photograph the shakes perfectly within Instagram’s square format and share their digital artwork with the #SquareShakes hashtag.
Krispy Kreme Goes Cage-Free
Krispy Kreme Doughnuts is taking steps to ensure the eggs they use all come from cage-free chickens. The Humane Society of the United States applauded Krispy Kreme’s commitment to improving animal welfare in its supply system, saying “Krispy Kreme shows once again that doing good can be an important part of doing well.” The transition to 100 percent cage-free eggs is expected to be complete by 2026.
TGI Fridays Uses GIF-Format TV Ad
Playing off of their “Endless Apps”, TGI Fridays has created a series of three video ads made of endlessly looping GIFs. The 15-second “Duo Jump” video is being used as a TV ad, and it features a guy endlessly running and jumping across the screen followed by appetizers with legs. The ad has been running during a three-week campaign on cable networks including Adult Swim, BET, Comedy, MTV, and Discovery. The two other 15-second videos feature guys and appetizers sliding down a railing and jumping from pedestal to pedestal on loop. You can find all three ads running on Hulu and Facebook.
