Burger King Introduces the Whopper Burrito
Just two months after releasing its last experimental food item, Burger King is back at it again with the Whopperito. Burger King’s latest menu addition is taking a stab at Tex-Mex chains like Chipotle. The Whopperito puts Whopper burger ingredients inside a flour tortilla, with a queso sauce replacing the hamburger’s mayonnaise. The burrito will be sold nationally beginning August 15 and will remain on the menu for three to four months. The idea came from a franchisee with stores in Ohio and Pennsylvania, where it has already been regionally tested. The Whopperito is not too spicy and is meant to appeal to a broad array of Americans.
Carvel Introduces Baseball Mitt Ice Cream Cakes For Young Baseball Fans
Carvel Ice Cream is wrapping up the summer baseball season with new baseball mitt-shaped ice cream cakes. The new cake is available year-round at full shoppe locations, and guests have the option to customize the cake to celebrate the young baseball players in their lives. The ice cream franchise will also celebrate the title winner of this month’s baseball world championship by offering to host the winning team for an ice cream party at a local Carvel of their choice.
Wendy’s Brings Back Baconator Fries
To accompany Wendy’s one-of-a-kind Baconator, the fast food hamburger franchise is bringing back Baconator Fries nationally for a limited time. The Baconator Fries mimic and perfectly compliment the Baconator as a delicious blend of warm cheddar cheese sauce, freshly-cooked Applewood Smoked Bacon, and shredded cheddar cheese drizzled over Wendy’s natural-cut fries, making the two dishes excellent companions.
Qdoba Adds Variety With Smoked Brisket
Qdoba Mexican Eats is adding variety to its menu for a limited time with Qdoba’s Smoked Brisket. The brisket is slow-smoked over real wood for four hours and will be offered on any of Qdoba’s favorite menu items, such as burritos, burrito bowls, quesadillas, nachos, salads, and even the new Outlaw Knockout Taco. The Outlaw topped with Smoke Brisket is the newest of Qdoba’s line of Knockout Tacos, bringing a bold, differing and adventurous taste to the quick serve Mexican franchise.
