Coming up next month in Paris at the Porte de Versailles exhibition center is the Franchise Expo Paris event, an internationally recognized four day expo for franchise professionals from various backgrounds to meet, greet, and set up relationships. International conferences and workshops are hosted throughout the event taking place from March 23-March 26, 2014.
Statistics tallied for the previous year’s event indicate that at least 75% of visitors primarily attend to become a franchise partner or start a new business venture. Likewise, 44% of visitors are looking to start their business in less than one year. This year’s event takes place in a new location with more space for brand exposure so prospective franchisees have greater access to even more franchise systems to research, which includes an expected minimum of 500 brands in attendance.
Over half of visitors come from corporate executive and managerial positions with a desire to invest in their own business opportunity. Independent retailers and students also visit the expo. The expo featured over 500 franchise concepts in 2013 with hotels and restaurants making up the most represented sector, followed by B2B and B2C services companies.
U.S. franchisors are offered a special participation package that includes access to the US Pavilion where franchise companies will present their brand to nearly 34,000 locally based visitors and 3,000 international visitors, based on last year’s statistics. The event is one of the foremost expos of its kind to take place annually in Europe and features a program for international master franchisees to help investors expand their franchise partnerships.
