Description: Biker Information Guides services are offered to the general public under the "Biker Information Guide®" and "Sport & Metric" trademarks, trade names, service marks, and logos. The "Biker Information Guide®" magazine is oriented towards Harley-Davidson motorcycle enthusiasts and motorcycle-oriented businesses and the "Sport & Metric" magazine is oriented to all other motorcycle enthusiasts and motorcycle-oriented businesses.
Franchise Offer: The franchise on offer is for the operation of a business that publishes magazines containing information and advertisements oriented toward motorcycle enthusiasts and motorcycle-orient businesses within a specified geographic area and using the franchisors unique system.
Financial Assistance: The franchisor does not offer any direct or indirect financing nor do they guarantee any note, lease or obligation.
Training and Assistance: The franchisor will provide an initial training program for your first magazine lasting approximately 4 business days. The training will also consist of 18 days of on-the-job training. The franchisee may have 1 additional person attend the initial training program at no additional training fee. If the franchisee desires to have additional people attend the initial training program the franchisor may charge a fee
Territory: The franchisee is granted a specific geographic location. The franchisee may operate their Information Guide Business only from an approved location however the franchisee will not receive an exclusive territory. The franchisee may face competition from other franchisees, from outlets that the franchisor own, or from other channels of distribution or competitive brands that they control.
Term of Agreement and Renewal: The term of the franchisee agreement is 5 years. The successor franchise right permits the franchisee to remain as a franchise after the initial term of the Franchise Agreement expires. If the franchisee wishes to do so, and they satisfy the pre-conditions to obtaining a Successor Franchise, the franchisor will offer them the right to obtain an additional term of five years.
Obligations and Restrictions: The franchisee or a manager must complete the training program and must supervise and participate in the actual day-to-day operation the Information Guide Business. Neither the franchisee nor their manager may have an interest or business relationship with any of the franchisor’s business competitors.
