Business and Description: Seekers Coffee House, Ltd. is the Predecessor of Seeker’s Coffee House Franchise Co. Seekers Coffee House & Cafés prepare and sell coffee, tea, other beverages, coffee beans, food, candy, deserts, snack foods, sell hats, t-shirts, sweatshirts, other wearing apparel, and other items. They also offer catering services, both on and off premises, and musical concerts and other entertainments.
Franchise Offer: Seeker’s Coffee House Franchise Co. is offering to franchise 2 types of Seekers Coffee House & Café. The first is a "Neighborhood" store, which is smaller in size and offers less live music and the second is a "Live" store, which is larger in size and offers weekly live music and regularly features prominent national artists. The typical Seekers Coffee House & Cafe location is leased, and has approximately 2,500 square feet for a "Neighborhood" store, and approximately 4,000 square feet for a "Live" store. The initial franchise fee for a neighborhood store is $20,000 and the initial franchise fee for a live store is $25,000.
Financial Assistance: Seeker’s Coffee House Franchise Co. does not offer any direct or indirect financing nor do they guarantee any note, lease or obligation.
Training and Assistance: The training program consists of both classroom and on the job training for the franchisee and 1 other person. The training will cover store operation, marketing, management, food preparation, music and staging set-up (primarily for “Live” store) etc.
Territory: The franchisee will receive an exclusive territory with a minimum population of 20,000 people for a "Neighborhood" store and 40,000 people for a "Live" store and the franchisee may operate only from the approved location within the exclusive territory. Seeker’s Coffee House Franchise Co. and its affiliates will not operate retail coffee and tea businesses or grant franchises for a similar or competitive business within your territory.
Renewal and Termination: The term of franchise for a “Live” and “Neighborhood” store is 10 years with one renewal term of 10 years, subject to contractual requirements. The renewal fee is $1,000. The franchisor and franchisee can only terminate with cause.
Obligations and Restrictions: The franchisee must personally supervise the franchised business and must offer only those products and services that Seeker’s Coffee House Franchise Co. has approved. "Neighborhood" stores will offer limited live music, usually performed by local artists. "Live" stores will offer live music, which will be performed by both local and national artists. Seeker’s Coffee House Franchise Co. may limit its booking service for nationally booked live music to "Live" stores only.
