Doo Care Franchise Cost & Fees

Date Incorporation: 2007

Franchising Since: 2007

Headquarters: Tucson, Arizona

Description: Doo Care offers exterior pet waste removal, pet waste disposal and other pet waste management services, servicing private residences, commercial properties, apartment complexes, and home owner associations.

Franchise Offer: The franchisee will operate an exterior pet waste removal and pet waste disposal business. The franchisee also offers other pet-related services.

Financial Assistance: No financial assistance is offered.

Training and Assistance: The franchisee must designate a general manager and he or she must attend and successfully complete the initial franchise training program that is offered.
The franchisor will bear the cost of all training (instruction and required materials). The franchisee will bear all other expenses incurred in attending training, such as the costs of transportation, lodging, meals (except for lunch), wages, and worker's compensation insurance.
The training consists of 29 hours classroom training and 11 hours in-field training, totalling no more than 40 hours.
The franchisee may choose to, or the franchisor may require that the franchisee (or general manager) attend refresher courses, seminars, and other training programs periodically.

Territory: The franchise agreement will specify a territory. The territory will be contained in the franchise agreement and will be identified by zip code. The factors that the franchisor will consider in determining the size of a territory include the estimated number of households that have yards and dogs; prevalence of home owner's associations, pet friendly apartment communities; and median income of residents. During the term of the franchise agreement, Doo Care will not operate (nor will license any other persons to operate) a franchised business within the territory.

Term of Agreement and Renewal: The length of the franchise term is 10 years, with an option for renewal of up to 2 additional 10 year terms.

Obligations and Restrictions: The franchised business must always be under the direct, full-time, day-to-day supervision of a designated manager. If the franchisee is an individual, the franchisor may require that the franchisee be the designated manager of the franchise.
The franchisee must offer the services and products the franchisor specifies. The franchisee may not sell any products or services that have not been authorized and they must discontinue offering any products or services that the franchisor may disapprove.
