Prospective Franchisee Survey Results 2011
Introduction
At Franchise Direct we continuously seek to improve the user-experience on our website by constantly evolving and developing the content we provide. This is done in order to present the most relevant information possible on the franchise industry to not only better assist prospective franchisees, but also franchisors who utilize our services.
The purpose of this survey was to gain insight into the types of people who look to franchising as a way to pursue their career goals. The information was compiled to help not only Franchise Direct, but others who work in the business of connecting franchisors and prospective franchisees.
Survey Background
The questions asked were based upon various areas that are detailed in each section of this survey summary. Respondents revealed information pertaining to their motivations in regards to why they began looking into franchising, as well as what they look for in potential franchises to invest in, and what their franchise-related business ambitions are. Basic and anonymously-gathered demographic questions were also asked in order to gain a general profile of visitors to our website (prospects) that is complete as possible.
The survey was carried out via Survey Monkey between August 1, 2011 and October 31, 2011. Respondents were contacted through a variety of online outlets including our blog, newsletter, and social media posts.
We had 335 respondents take part in the survey, and their feedback is represented in the statistics, charts and graphs that follow.
