At Franchise Direct, we consistently aim to deliver the latest relevant franchise industry news to our website visitors.
By periodically carrying out a survey to find out more about our users, we examine the topics that matter the most to potential and existing franchise industry professionals. This includes understanding which viable franchise investment opportunities interest our users and what motivates them to enter and grow within the world of franchising.
Each and every survey even further establishes our ability to understand user ambitions and deliver resources that coincide with these goals.
These surveys not only assist Franchise Direct in serving those interested in franchising, but support the network on each of our sites to connect prospective franchisees with the right franchise opportunity.
Survey Background
The latest survey, developed through Survey Monkey, was sent out via social media posts, the Franchise Direct blog, and newsletter from November 2012 - January 2013. Simple and anonymous, each demographic question provides a general profile of the users that visit Franchise Direct.
The results of the survey are comprised of seven parts with feedback represented in the statistics, charts, and graphs that follow. This survey features 558 respondents.
Part 1: Reasons for Investing in a Franchise
Why are our visitors interested in starting their own business through a franchise opportunity? Here we explore the reasons why our visitors have chosen the path of franchising.
New business owners often cite various reasons for starting their own business, so we offered respondents a choice of five different reasons for investing in a franchise business. Respondents were also provided space to elaborate on their motivations.
