The 1950s-style burger chain plans to open all of its restaurants in the capital city of Manila, with the first store launching on July 18 in Makati City.
Teddy’s Bigger Burgers, which is working with the High Jab Group on the opening of its Philippines restaurants, is also targeting the Newport Mall at Resorts World Manila.
“The progress we are seeing with Teddy’s is excellent,” Ted Tsakiris, co-founder of Teddy’s, said in a statement. “We’re excited to launch Team Philippines.”
Teddy’s, which currently operates 11 locations in Hawaii, recently opened mainland locations in Washington state and Iowa with soon-to-be-opened eateries in California and Texas. Teddy’s also has a location in Japan.
Tsakiris and his partner, Rich Stula, also recently opened their newest Hawaii location in Kapolei, and are planning to open a restaurant in Haleiwa on Oahu’s North Shore.
