Tutoring Club Opens 200th Learning Center in Connecticut
September 25, 2007
One of the nation’s fastest growing learning centers hits a major milestone this month with the opening of the company’s 200th franchise in Stamford, Conn.
“Tutoring Club tutors and staff are dedicated to helping children of every skill level succeed in school and, in many cases, even surpass their grade-level competencies,” notes Tutoring Club founder, Larry Schwartz. “Helping our communities and children grow is our passion.”
The new Tutoring Club of Stamford is owned by Maria Markus who also owns Tutoring Club of Ridgefield. “Study after study shows tutoring is a critical tool to help struggling students through their coursework,” Markus said. “The rapid growth of Tutoring Club demonstrates the commitment of families to make this tool available for their children.”
Tutoring Club provides individualized instruction in reading, math and writing for children in grades K-12. Tutoring Club is unique among learning systems in not only its methodology, but also in its guarantee to raise a student’s academic level in less time and at lower cost than any other program.
“We spent nearly a decade honing our products and systems before we created our franchise structure,” said Schwartz. “Rather than simply provide qualified instructors for tutoring, we apply highly specialized learning programs to each child based on initial diagnostic assessments of their skills. We then make sure that our efforts are integrated into both the home and school environment through regular conferences with parents and teachers.”
In honor of its 200th opening, Tutoring Club is making a donation to Newfield Elementary School in Stamford, through the Adopt-A-Classroom program.
Created by Lawrence H. Schwartz in 1991, Tutoring Club offers the exclusive TutorAid curriculum that is guaranteed to raise a student’s academic level in less time and at a lower cost than any other program.
Rx Reading provides students practice in all basic language and reading skills.
Amazing Math builds the foundations that students need for comprehension and advancement.
The Write Way covers sentence structure, grammar, punctuation and spelling.
Tutor Up is dedicated to individualized instruction in math, science and foreign language.
ACT/SAT Preparation and Study Skills are also available at Tutoring Club.
Tutoring Club utilizes the most advanced curriculum in tutoring, maintains low student-to-tutor ratios, pinpoints problems and corrects them, motivates students to keep trying, conferences with parents and classroom teachers to keep them aware of students’ progress, and provides qualified instructors who are committed to ensuring each child succeeds.
