Captain D’s Announces Opening of Newest Restaurant in Georgia

Fast Casual Seafood Franchise Continues to Grow in the South

Captain D’s, the leading fast casual seafood restaurant, announced today the opening of its newest franchised restaurant in Lovejoy, Georgia. Located at 11465 Tara Boulevard, this new location marks the brand’s 98th in the state and emphasizes Captain D’s accelerated franchise development in Georgia.

The restaurant in Lovejoy is owned and operated by new franchisees Ali Momin, Abrar Momin and Micky Patel. With a combined 40 years of experience in the restaurant industry, this will be the group’s first Captain D’s location, with future plans to develop additional restaurants in the Greater Atlanta area.

“Captain D’s is committed to providing only the best in products and service and as restaurant industry veterans, we understand how much that resonates with consumers,” said Ali Momin, Captain D’s franchisee. “The company has grown tremendously over the past several years, and has really become a standout in the fast casual segment. We’re thrilled to officially open our first Captain D’s restaurant and look forward to introducing the Lovejoy community to a brand we truly believe in.”

The company’s growth in Georgia has contributed to the outstanding success Captain D’s has experienced in 2016, closing out the third quarter of the year with its 20th consecutive quarter of positive growth, generating a 2.8 percent system-wide same store sales increase. Additionally, Captain D’s is on track for its fourth successive year of achieving record high system-wide AUV and its sixth consecutive year of same store sales increases.

Coupled with its ongoing menu innovation, Captain D’s credits its new restaurant beach design with contributing to the brand’s compounding success. To date, 50 percent of all restaurants have been reimaged to the brand’s new vibrant, coastal design, with another 50 locations to be remodeled by the end of this year. With these efforts, Captain D’s has remained true to what it does best — serving high-quality seafood with warm hospitality at an affordable price in a welcoming atmosphere.
