Together, they have over 45 years of restaurant experience and are ready to bring their knowledge and expertise to the laidback lifestyle of Maui Wowi. “While researching different franchises we came across Maui Wowi and quickly realized the concept was a perfect fit for us. The idea of owning our own business and having power over our destiny is exactly what we wanted,” said Chris.

Both Chris and Rosa are very active and enjoy a healthy lifestyle with activities such as running and kayaking. Their outlook on life blends well with the Maui Wowi franchise system. “For many years we traveled throughout the United States with our daughter who played travel softball. We participated in many tournaments and, being coffee drinkers, saw a great need for coffee at early morning games and a healthy snack in the afternoon,” said Chris. The flexibility of the business models also caught their attention. “A franchise like Maui Wowi would give us the opportunity to make it grow into however big we want to grow,” said Chris.

Rosa works in the medical field, while Chris has been busy working as a restaurant manager. They plan to start with a mobile unit called a Ka’anapali Cart and hope to purchase a second one within the next year, ultimately leading them to owning a fixed retail location in the future.

“Doing a coffee cart is something I’ve wanted to do for a long time. We just never had the right avenue. We researched many franchises and thought Maui Wowi was a smart idea; coffee and smoothies together is brilliant!” said Chris.

With support from their family, they are welcomed into the ‘Ohana and are excited to begin their new adventure into a destiny that has been calling their names. Chris said, “We are determined to make this work and know we will have fun doing it. We are really looking forward to the rest of our journey.”
