Business Description: The franchisor is Digital Doc Franchising, LLC. Digital Doc businesses specialize in the repair of cell phones, smart phones, tablets, laptops, desktop computers, and other electronic devices under the name Digital Doc.
Franchise Offer: The franchisor grants franchises for Businesses operating under the Digital Doc name and other marks.
Financial Assistance: Currently the franchisor does not offer direct or indirect financing, but it reserves the right to do so in the future. There are no waiver of defenses or similar provisions in any note, contract or other instrument executed by franchisees with the franchisor. The franchisor does not guarantee any notes or financial obligations franchisees may incur in setting up and operating their business.
Training and Assistance: The franchisor will provide franchisees a mandatory initial training program that lasts approximately 14 days. The initial training program is held at the franchisor’s headquarters in Glenview, IL, Owensboro, KY or at another location that it designates. The training program must be completed by all franchisees and their designated managers (if any) unless, in the franchisor’s reasonable discretion, based upon a franchisee’s or a designated manager’s experience, it is deemed unnecessary. The franchisor may, at its discretion or upon the franchisee’s request, provide other supervision, training, assistance and services before and/or after the opening of the franchise; such as coach or trainer communications, online or video instructional programs, literature, advertising materials, displays, flyers and additional training or assistance. The franchisor may require that franchisees and their personnel attend additional training courses or programs covering operations and new product or procedure introductions.
Territory: Franchisees must submit their proposed location for the business to the franchisor for approval. Once the franchisor has approved a specific location for the franchise premises, franchisees will operate their franchise there. Franchisees cannot operate the franchise anywhere else without the franchisor’s prior written consent. The business will extend solely to that specific location. The franchisor will not place or authorize anyone else to place a Digital Doc franchise within a 3-mile radius or population of 40,000 people from the franchise territory. The franchisor intends to reduce or extend certain franchise territories in special circumstances such as where the franchise premises is at a limited-venue location or for high population density, high business density, urban and downtown locations.
Term of Agreement and Renewal: The length of the initial franchise term is 10 years. If franchisees are in good standing, they may renew for periods of 10 years under the terms of the then-current franchise agreement forms that may have materially different terms and conditions than the original contract.
Obligations and Restrictions: Franchisees or a designated employee, independent contractor or representative of theirs who has successfully completed the Initial Training Program and Online Training Curriculum and been certified by the franchisor (Designated Manager), must directly supervise and participate in the actual day-to-day operation of the business. Franchisees may offer and sell only those services and products that the franchisor has approved. Franchisees must offer all products and services that the franchisor designates as required for all franchisees. These required products and services are described in the Manual. Franchisees must obtain the franchisor’s prior written approval for any other products and services to be offered by the business.
