Your Concrete is Their Canvas
Spending the weekends driving around Bakersfield, Ron and Lanie Stowell could not believe how fast, and how many, new homes were surfacing all over the city. They thought, “How can we get into the housing market?”
After some contemplation Rona and Lanie realized that one thing all homes, new and old, have in common - concrete! They conducted extensive research, driving neighborhoods and contacting construction businesses in the area, and found that unless you have stamped concrete you just have concrete.
Then the Stowells found a company called Concrete Technology Inc. (CTi). They purchased the dealership rights for Kern County and CTi of Bakersfield was in business.
CTi provides tough and durable coatings for driveways, patios, pool decks, walkways, balconies, garage floors, spa areas and even vertical concrete walls. Beautiful, yet tough, the CTI system can give any home a look that is as distinctive as the owner's own imagination and personality.
Looks such as tile, flagstone and brick are provided for a fraction of the cost in most cases. CTi of Bakersfield is changing the curb appeal of home and businesses in the Kern County area.
CTi’s Hallmark system uses a color modified, acrylic based cement, which is sprayed over existing concrete to give the client a truly custom designed look to their home or business. The CTi systems achieve a texture and color of any type stone required.
First, the concrete is evaluated and any cracks or imperfections are repaired. Then, acid and pressure washing assures a clean surface or “canvas” as CTi refers to it. A color modified base coat is applied to fix any imperfections in the original concrete. Next, a design is laid over it and a hopper gun shoots a textured layer over that. A final clear coat is put over the system that is nonporous and UV resistant which protects as well as makes it easy to maintain.
This process is excellent for giving a new home that custom look or giving an older home more curb appeal. Businesses will benefit from having their own logo applied to the sidewalk in front of their building.
CTi also offers a full line of urethane, epoxy and industrial grade floor finishes perfect for areas such as garage bays, workshop floors or high traffic areas. CTi’s industrial coatings can handle forklift traffic, harsh chemicals and even hydraulic fluids from airplanes.
