The tax industry has provided a business opportunity in one way or another for Liberty Tax Service franchisee, Donna Campbell, since high school. She started crunching numbers while working for a CPA after her high school graduation. Then she spread her entrepreneurial wings as a business owner of several local convenience stores. Changes in that industry prompted Donna to reconsider the tax business, and she took an H&R Block tax course that led to employment. Curiosity about tax industry opportunities took Donna on a Google search that would change her life. While researching other tax companies, she discovered Liberty Tax Service.

Donna joined Liberty Tax in the fall of 2004, and moved from her home state of Ohio to open her first tax office in Ocala, Florida. Although she knew no one and had no connections when she arrived, Donna won many new Liberty Tax customers quickly. She finished her first tax season ranked #11 for Liberty first-year offices, with 911 returns.

Donna soon realized there was no place like home. She cashed in the equity she built in her office, sold out to a neighboring Liberty franchisee, and moved back to Ohio. In January 2006, she opened her second first-year office in Washington Courthouse, Ohio. Donna did it again! This time, she finished as the #1 Liberty first-year office, with over 1,000 returns.

Could she duplicate her success again in her hometown of Lebanon, Ohio? Yes! Donna once again cashed out her equity and sold her Washington Courthouse Liberty office for $140,000. She opened an office in Lebanon AND a second first-year office in Wilmington. Her Lebanon office finished the year with over 1,900 returns, and the Wilmington office finished with a respectable 620 returns.

Donna is actively involved in building in many ways. Her Liberty Tax locations have been the sites for fundraising events to help the Humane Society and Cell Phones for Soldiers. Donna is a member of the Chamber of Commerce, Elks and Eagles civic organizations.
