Description: InterContinental Hotels Group (IHG) operates seven hotel brands – InterContinental, Crowne Plaza, Hotel Indigo, Holiday Inn, Holiday Inn Express, Staybridge Suites and Candlewood Suites. There are over 3,600 hotels operating under IHG brands which are franchised.

Franchise Offer: IHG offer two types of contracts: franchise agreements (or licenses) and management contracts.

Financial Assistance: The franchisor can connect the franchisee to lenders and resources that may help with finance. Throughout the world, there is a host of mortgage brokers who specialize in the hospitality industry, along with direct capital providers who can assist with any hotel financing needs. These companies cover a wide range of needs, including mortgage, new construction, takeout, portfolio, full service, refinance, and conversion lending.

Training and Assistance: IHG field support team offers onsite consultants and training workshops in guest service, quality, sales and revenue management. In addition, a centralized support team is available via a toll free number to answer any questions the franchisee may have regarding policies, procedures, systems, and new initiatives. As part of “OnBoard” the new hotel opening program, IHG will appoint an opening team, whose role is to nurture and navigate the hotel opening process.

Obligations and Restrictions: A representative from IHG will visit the franchisee’s hotel to asses the hotels adherence to brand standards, life safety, cleanliness and property condition
