When asked by Michele as to why he choose franchising to start his own business, his answer makes it clear that like all forward thinking entrepreneurs, Chip knew when to embrace change. “I'd worked in software development for 25 years,” he recalls, “and I really wanted to start working for myself, be my own boss and see the rewards for that effort. 1-800-Radiator looked like a great fit for me.”
The decision for Chip as to why he picked 1-800-Radiator was obvious, “All of their infrastructure! I wasn't starting from the ground floor trying to figure out how to sell automotive radiators. There was a proven model there that I could just implement.”
In terms of the work his company does, Chip explains, “It involves ordering parts from vendors to working with install automotive shops, bodyshops, anyone in the automotive industry who is installing these radiators for customers. We deal directly with them, look up the vehicle, find the right parts for them, and then deliver it in a timely fashion.”
“We have a sales guy out in the field building relationships with automotive shops and getting to know them so we can really provide a service which, in today's market, service is so important.”
