RecruitMilitary.com is a ten-year old company made up of 50 military veterans. Its mission is to help employers, franchisors and educational suppliers target, identify and source military veterans and military spouses for employment or purchasing a franchise or attending a university.
Also, RecruitMilitary.com is the biggest producers of career fairs in the country, and hosted 68 last year in a number of professional sports stadiums. They also publish a magazine.
According to Drew Myers, military veterans make great entrepreneurs for “a lot of attribute-driver reasons: character, integrity, work-ethic, discipline.”
“The skills someone learns in the military are directly applicable to the requirements of particular franchise,” he says.
In this video, Drew also urges military veterans to consider a career in franchising.
“We think this a great time for veterans to explore franchise opportunities. There’s so many benefits to running your own business, and one of them is a stable work life... Given the loan programmes that are available, the training that’s available and the myriad opportunities that are available in franchise world, we think that now’s a pretty good time for veterans to look into franchising.”
