They've developed the business and it is now profitable. You are going into partnership with a company that is a well-managed, well-organised, profitable business.
The other thing you're going to look at is whether the product or service is in someway different from the competition already there. What aspect of it gives you a business advantage? In the case of larger franchises, the brands will already be known. In that situation, you're looking at the strength of the brand and that's very important in terms of opening. A strong brand in its first week should already be doing good business."
