Real Property Management Video: Kirk McGary Finds Independence As Real Estate Franchisee

At the beginning of the interview, Kirk explains his key reason for choosing a franchise: “Franchising has a proven model, my research showed that companies succeed when they franchise. When you try it on your own, your success rate is just...[shakes head]...it's a lot lower.”

“The branding makes a lot of difference. And again they have marketing, software, tools, training, support. We could just never do all that on our own so franchising was a good solution for us. Once owning your own business gets in your blood, you never want to go in the other direction.”

“We manage small properties, from 50 unit residential buildings down to single family properties. We find tenants, screen them, co-ordinate maintenance, collect rents, pay mortgages, really take care of the property for owners who usually live out of state or out of your area.”

Near the end of the interview, Kirk confirms that if he had the choice again he would still choose Real Property Management. In the future he sees himself running multiple locations and buying more franchises.
