Before joining Le Macaron, Kelly was a New York City police officer. After retiring, he ran a family business in Rockefeller Center, which gave him business experience to bring to his franchise.
Kelly says the most important factor in choosing Le Macaron was flexibility. Compared with other franchises he considered, he found the brand less rigid, allowing owners room to be creative in how they run their stores.
