Southern Chicks Baton Rouge Grand Opening Draws Fans, Foodies, and Local Press
Southern Chicks Café & Daiquiris marked a major milestone this May with the grand opening of its newest location – and the first under the brand’s franchise banner – in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The highly anticipated launch drew a large crowd of loyal fans, newcomers, and local media.
The Baton Rouge restaurant is owned and operated by new franchise partners Brandon Olijanah and Jeremy Scott, who have teamed up with founder Angel Ewing to bring Southern Chicks’ signature blend of bold flavors, warm hospitality, and Southern flair to the capital city.
“It was even more awesome than I could have ever imagined,” said Ewing, reflecting on the grand opening. “Having Southern Chicks as a franchise is something I have been wanting for a very long time now. So opening our second location as a franchisor seemed very surreal.”
The grand opening event was met with a flood of foot traffic, creating an energetic celebration of food and community. Guests raved about the restaurant’s atmosphere, exceptional service, and menu favorites – from crispy fried chicken and juicy tenders to indulgent desserts and daiquiris served all day.
“Everyone seemed to love it and had nothing but good things to say about our unique decor, service and food,” Ewing added.
Ewing has been closely involved with the franchisees throughout the launch process, supporting everything from employee training to restaurant setup.
“Southern Chicks is my baby, and I know in order for me to be successful they have to be successful as well,” she said. “Working alongside the franchisees has been a very rewarding experience for me. Seeing Brandon and Jeremy succeed at their new location has been a wonderful feeling.”
