Transworld Business Advisors has a unique business model with three separate revenue streams: business brokerage, franchise consulting and franchise development.Transworld franchisees help to match up entrepreneurs that are looking to purchase a franchise with a company that meets their interests, backgrounds, and investment levels. If the match is successful, the franchisor pays a referral fee.
FULL TRAINING AND SUPPORT.
We teach you every aspect of all three profit centers of a successful Transworld Business Advisors franchise including:- Franchise Consulting: Firstly, we will train you on franchise consulting. We represent almost 300 different franchise opportunities at all different investment ranges.
- Franchise Development: There are also many people who are not looking to buy or sell a business but they have an up-and-running business or concept that they would like to turn into a franchise.
- Business Brokerage: Third, we will train you on all aspects of business brokerage. You will learn how to guide the buyer and seller through the process to coordinate and close the transaction. It is very common for the business broker to receive 12% of the selling price of the business as a commission.

Deal Reinforces Commitment to Long-Term Franchise Expansion of the Business Services Brand
United Franchise Group™ (UFG), home to an affiliated family of brands and consultants, has taken full ownership of its Transworld Business Advisors® (TBA) brand, the leading global business brokerage organization, helping entrepreneurs sell, buy and franchise their businesses. The company has over 200 offices, and 1,000 agents and brokers worldwide.
“This exciting acquisition makes both United Franchise Group and Transworld Business Advisors stronger than ever,” said Ray Titus, chairman and CEO of United Franchise Group. “The franchise has experienced tremendous growth since joining our family of brands in 2010 – becoming the world’s largest business brokerage. Now, as sole owners, we’re positioned to take it to the next level alongside its talented team of advisors.”
As part of the acquisition, TBA’s former CEO and partner Andy Cagnetta will focus on leading his Fort Lauderdale, Florida franchise location - the largest in the network. Jim “JT” Tatem will remain TBA president, a position he has held since 2024.

I spent four years looking for different franchises, looking to acquire different businesses and that was after a 30-year corporate career in the oil and gas industry. I was very particular about the kind of franchise that I selected and Transworld leadership was something that impressed me. Their business model impressed me and all the stars aligned with Transworld. It worked; it was a good fit for me.
Being a Transworld franchisee has worked out great for me. It’s a wonderful business model; we’ve had two or three very successful years over the last three years. Last year was particularly successful for us; we closed fifteen transactions. I like it because our world is different every day. Every business we deal with is different, every transaction is different, it’s always a challenge - and I like that.
I love owning a Transworld Business Advisors for a couple different reasons. One, I’m passionate about business and entrepreneurship, so being able to see a number of different businesses and helping owners buy and sell these businesses is great. It’s a huge learning experience. I’ve probably learned more about the business world in the last two years than I have my entire career. Two, it is more a lifestyle business. We have a physical office, but we don’t have to be there. We’re from Colorado; we love to ski and hike. We’ve done meetings in the gondola, we’ve done meetings on camping trips, my husband goes hunting with our attorneys every year. So, that’s very attractive as well.
