About This Video
This IFA 2020 conversation features AJ Titus, Brand President of Signarama. Titus is the third president in the franchise's 34-year history, and he uses the video to walk through what Signarama does, who the brand looks for in a franchise candidate, and why he sees a long runway ahead in the signs and graphics category. Signarama is positioned as a full-service signs and graphics franchise. The product line covers small interior signs, large outdoor electric signage, vehicle wraps, banners, trade show displays, and everything in between — anything a customer might need across the full signage spectrum. The franchise's training and support program is built around four weeks of structured ramp-up. Two weeks at the corporate office in West Palm Beach, Florida, two weeks at the franchisee's own location, and another week of on-the-job training. Titus describes ideal candidates as driven, process-oriented operators who genuinely enjoy selling, talking to people, networking in their local community, and working with customers — because while Signarama sells products, the durable competitive edge comes from customer service. Titus closes on industry tailwinds. The signs and graphics category has evolved significantly over the prior decade — 3D printing, electronic digital message centers, flatbed printing — and continues to expand the kinds of jobs Signarama franchisees can take on. He uses an off-script example: a paintball-course owner who walked in needing zombie graphics for the field, which the franchisee printed and applied. It is, he says, a creative industry where unusual jobs come through the door every day.
