Territory Granted: The Franchise Agreement will typically specify a territory of a one-mile radius around the franchisee’s location. In densely populated areas, the franchisor reserves the right to specify a smaller territory. In the territory, the franchisor will not open another The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill business, nor license or franchise another party to open a The Great Greek Mediterranean Grill business, except for businesses located in “limited access venues” (meaning venues that serve primarily the customers located within a facility). If the franchise is located in a “limited access venue,” then the protected territory will consist of the venue.
Obligations and Restrictions: Franchisees must personally devote full-time and best efforts to the direct operation of their business and attend all meetings, periodic training, and the annual conference. The business must, at all times, be under the direct on-location supervision of the franchisee, or someone who has been trained by the franchisee or has completed the training program. In addition, franchisees must at all times employ two individuals that have successfully completed Level 2 of the initial training program and are devoting a combined 12 shifts each week to working in the business. Franchisees must offer only goods and services that the franchisor has approved for sale. Franchisees must offer for sale all goods and services that the franchisor requires.
Term of Agreement and Renewal: The length of the initial franchise term is 35 years from the date of the Franchise Agreement. Franchisees may obtain a successor Franchise Agreement for one additional 35-year term if requirements are met.
Financial Assistance: The franchisor does not offer direct or indirect financing. The franchisor does not guarantee a franchisee’s note, lease or obligations. Eligible United States military veterans, or his or her spouse, with 1 to 10 years of active duty service will receive a discount of 10% of the franchise fee.
