Franchises At The Republican Convention

We enter the truly heated time of the American presidential election season this week with the beginning of the Republican convention in Tampa. This is a massive political event, of course, but one franchise in particular, is not sitting on the sidelines.

One of the country's leading commercial cleaning franchises Jani-King has thrown itself fully into this week's convention by deciding to clean the massive Liberty Forum every day, which is next door to the Tampa Bay Times Forum, which is where all of the speeches will take place during the convention. The Liberty Forum will play host to a slew of media events, including Mike Huckabee's radio show and nightly concerts by bands and artists including Journey and Trace Adkins, so Jani-King have a lot of work in front of them.

The Republican party is seen to be the most franchise-friendly of the two big American political parties and as we've blogged here in the past, decisions made in Washington often have a major effect on franchising.

But he added that helping out at a venue associated with the Republican convention was made easier because franchising companies like his are being hurt by the economy and regulations from the Obama administration. "We're impacted a lot by their small business practices," he said of the administration's rules.
