Training Overview: Before opening their first uBreakiFix by Asurion store to the public, the franchisor will train up to three persons at its training facilities in Orlando, Florida; or at some other location closer to the franchisee’s store as the franchisor determines. The initial training program is about 48 hours per week of training over three weeks (144 hours total). In certain circumstances, the franchisor may decide the training program should be conducted virtually. Franchisees or their operating principal must attend and complete the training program to the franchisor’s satisfaction. The store manager and/or mobile unit manager, as applicable, must attend and complete the training program to the franchisor’s satisfaction. Immediately before and after their first store opens to the public, the franchisor will provide 16 days of on-site training to the operating principal and manager. The franchisor will provide additional assistance and training to franchisees and their staff if they request or if the franchisor decides it is necessary to implement new procedures or programs important to the franchisor in the operation of the store and mobile unit(s). The franchisor may also provide optional additional assistance for franchisees and their staff. The additional assistance may be held on a national or regional basis at locations that the franchisor chooses.

Territory Granted: The location of the franchise will be specified in the Franchise Agreement. During the term of the Franchise Agreement, the franchisor will not open or operate, or license others to own or operate, any fixed-location uBreakiFix by Asurion store at any physical site in the territory. The franchisor will determine the size and boundaries of the territory when the location is approved, the exact size of which will vary depending on the location selected. It will be a radius that ranges between one to three miles surrounding the store depending on the urban or suburban nature of the area. Alternatively, it may be some other geographic area (containing a day time and residential population of about 100,000 persons), described by attaching a map, or by reference to streets, natural boundaries or zip codes. By signing the Franchise Agreement, franchisees can, on a non-exclusive basis and if there is adequate customer demand in the territory, operate mobile unit(s). If the franchisor grants franchisees the right to have a “Remote Only Stocking Location” in connection with one or more mobile units, then they will not receive any territorial rights or protection with respect to the site for the Remote Only Stocking Location.

Obligations and Restrictions: Owner(s) must directly supervise the franchise business, on its store premises. If an owner is not directly supervising the franchise business, they must designate an “operating principal” acceptable to the franchisor who has completed the training program to its satisfaction and will be principally responsible for communicating with the franchisor about business, operational and other ongoing matters concerning their uBreakiFix by Asurion store and mobile unit(s). Franchisees must sell and offer all and only those products and services that the franchisor authorizes at or from their uBreakiFix by Asurion store and mobile unit(s).

Term of Agreement and Renewal: The length of the initial franchise term is about 10 years (the franchisor may adjust the exact term to coincide with the term and option terms in the lease). Two renewal terms, each with a 10 year term, are available if requirements are met.

Financial Assistance: The franchisor does not offer direct or indirect financing and it does not guarantee a franchisee’s note, lease or obligation. The franchisor offers a 20% discount to qualified veterans of the U.S. Armed Forces on the initial franchise fee for their first store.
