Going Behind The Scenes At Jan-Pro Atlanta

As readers will know, Franchise Direct has produced a great new video on starting a franchise. This video is so unique because it takes you behind the scenes and lets your hear from the real people who run a franchise. One of the franchises featured in the video is Jan-Pro Atlanta.

Around the 11 minute mark of Franchise Direct's Starting A Franchise video, host Catherine Dyer introduces viewers to the Jan-Pro Atlanta team. What results is a truly in-depth view of how a top commercial cleaning franchise works. Included are conversations with president Brad Rush and many of the important staff at the business.

The segment also features some very interesting stats on the commercial cleaning industry. As the video reports, the commercial cleaning industry is essentially recession-proof, being valued at $90 billion a year. Jan-Pro Atlanta - which exists under the umbrella of Jan-Pro - is a family run organization consisting of about 220 franchisees who serve around 800 regular customers in the metropolitan Atlanta area.

“Our job really is to help people realize the dream of owning their own business,” Rush explains.

Catherine Dyer then discovers a business committed to training and support. The day there begins with a meeting where company executives discuss how they can improve the support of their franchise owners. Viewers meet Marlana Melson, business relations manager at Jan-Pro Atlanta. Ms Melson works directly with franchisees in designing a training regimes for many diverse commercial cleaning businesses operating under the Jan-Pro umbrella.

They're also introduced to Vincent Williams, a Jan-Pro Atlanta franchise owner for the past two years.

“I tell people this all the time,” Williams says. “It's so hard to go out there nowadays and start something and maintain it on a daily basis, as opposed to having a support system like Jan-Pro. It's a great source of reliable income.”

Business consultant Denise Matthews explains that Jan-Pro is versatile and helpful should the unforeseen happen in business. She tells the anecdote of a franchise owner who fell unexpectedly sick and found himself in the hospital. He made a phonecall to Jan-Pro Atlanta's offices and they delegated his outstanding work to other franchise owners. Finally, one of the best parts about being a franchise owner for a business like Jan-Pro Atlanta is that they find customers for you, as sales manager Paul Waits explains.

Not only does this brand-new video provide a real insight into three innovative business concepts, but it is one of the most informative explanations of franchising you’ll find online. As a whole, it provides terrific perspective on what it's like to own a Jan-Pro Atlanta franchise. As franchise owner Victor Williams explains, it's a business opportunity that's exceeded his expectations.
