Today’s franchise opportunities come in all shapes and sizes. The trick is to find one that makes sense for you, fits within your budget, and can thrive in your geographical area.

But there’s something else that you need to add to the equation.

That something is “fit.” As in finding a franchise business opportunity that’s a good fit for you personality-wise.

Let’s Talk About Your Personality

When you buy a franchise, you need to make sure you have the right personality for the franchise opportunity itself and the role you’ll have as the owner.

For example, if you’re a high-energy person, with an outgoing personality, becoming the owner of a gas station/convenience store type of franchise business probably wouldn’t be a good choice. That’s mostly due to what your role would be as the owner.

In essence, you’d be managing your store, with most of your time spent behind a counter. Odds are you’d probably become bored quickly. And, unlike when you have a job you’re bored with-or don’t like, you can’t just up and quit, as this is your business.

That’s why it would benefit you to make sure you look at franchises that will allow your outgoing personality to shine.

Franchises for Extroverts

While we all have moments when we are outgoing and other moments when we aren't, most of us tend to veer to one side more than the other. People who are outgoing more often than not are referred to as extroverts. According to ListAKA, extroverts are “the talkers, the socially affable ones, the charmers.” If those traits describe you, here are a few franchise business types you may want to check out.

1. Business-to-Business (B2B) Franchises: Owners of B2B franchises need to be energetic and enthusiastic. That’s because, in most cases, their daily activities are focused on business development. Put another way, B2B franchisees interact with others---a lot. Sometimes they do this by phone, while sometimes they meet clients in-person.

Either way, the goal is the same; it’s to gain new business.

Here are some examples of B2B franchise opportunities.

2. Consulting Franchises: Business consulting is big business. That’s why there are no shortage of business consulting franchise opportunities.

Another reason why consulting franchises are popular has to do with the fact that a decent number of them can be run from a home office. That means lower startup costs and expenses.

That said, if you become the owner of a business consulting franchise, don’t expect to be at a home a lot. You’ll have to hit the streets to find clients for your business. But you’ll have help.
That help will come from franchise headquarters. Part of your training will include specific (and proven) techniques that you can use to find your clients. (Combined with your outgoing personality!)

3. Photography Franchises: The digital age hasn’t decreased our need to preserve memories.

While it’s true that anyone can take pretty decent photos with their smartphones, they’re not good enough for special occasions and/or special events. That’s where photography franchises excel.

You can own a franchise that specializes in things like:

  • Entertainment photography
  • Sports-related photography
  • Children’s photography

...And more.

To succeed as a photography franchise owner, you (and your employees) need to have extremely outgoing personalities, and a sense of humor, to get the smiles your customers are paying for.

To conclude, if you’re an extrovert, and you’re interested in becoming the owner of a franchise, choose one that will allow you to use your personality in the best way possible.
