Haydn & I are two of F45’s youngest franchisee’s. We launched our first studio in July this year and we already hungry for the next. Prior to F45, we had been on very different paths. I was just establishing myself in Investment Management and Haydn was finding his feet in Theatre Marketing. While both were promising careers, we realized that fitness was our passion and that we wanted to do something for ourselves. Through our experience of Crossfit and other strength and conditioning, we understood the power of group exercise and that successful businesses develop through the communities that are built inside them. After visiting the F45 studios that were already open in London, we instantly knew that F45 was the path we wanted to take - we had to have one. Sixteen months later we launched and it has been an awesome journey to date. F45 Headquarters was extremely supportive throughout the process, but we also took a lot of initiative to make this business our own - you have to. This is our business and no one is going to do it for us. We are loving every minute of being able to provide fitness to people from all different walks of life.
Ever since I was little, I’ve had a thirst for physical exercise and a fascination of the human body and its physical capabilities. That interest lead me on a path to study physiotherapy, a career with a number of leading pharmaceutical companies, and running a number of half marathons and marathons. But it wasn’t until after having two children that I was inspired to follow my lifelong passion and become of personal trainer. While working as a trainer, I came across F45 on Instagram and within twelve months of my first class, we opened our first franchise in Brighton. As a working mum, I know how precious time can be. I loved that F45 classes are so time efficient, but the results that can be achieved are life changing. Following my passion and starting a business that truly impacts the lives of so many in my community is the best decision I have ever made.

Prior to starting my first F45 Studio, I was a Principal/Executive VP at a privately held consulting firm. After 26 years, I was ready to make an exit, but had no desire to retire. Instead, I began researching various franchises that my entire family could invest in and enjoy. For 18 months, I evaluated a variety of options including OrangeTheory Fitness, TITLE Boxing Club, CycleBar, and a new, unnamed "big box" concept. Today, we have 3 locations open and our membership is on a nice consistent growth pattern at all three.

I am an entrepreneur at heart with a passion for technology and fitness. After selling my last start-up, a video streaming platform, I was looking for my next endeavor. Having been a member of an OrangeTheory Fitness, I decided to open several studios of my own. Fortunately, during a 6-month delay, I was introduced to F45 by another OTF member and the rest is history. With one visit to the F45 headquarters in Los Angeles, I was hooked by the workout, the technology, the people and the ability to scale. I now have one studio opened, a second launching in a few weeks, and 8 more territories underway. F45 is a front runner in the technology and fitness space. This type of training can be very confusing, but F45 provides an unmatchable system with a fast variety of functional benefits for members. I had often thought about starting my own gym, but it wasn’t until after I’d decided to divert from my career in finance, and I had the opportunity to experience an F45 workout, that knew this was the type of gym I wanted to start. I was immediately hooked. Never had I found such an efficient and effective workout. It was the perfect workout for me, personally, and I knew customers would love it as well. The model also made sense from a business and finance perspective. Between the low upfront cost, the turnkey solution and the support of HQ, opening the first gym was super smooth even for someone with no previous experience. Today, I now have invested in three F45 Studios with my brother and our third partner. I can honestly say the most rewarding element of our work is the community we have created. It is one that is prevalent in the members of our gyms, as well as across the network of owners. We all truly appreciate each other and support each other, which is something I find incredibly unique in both a gym and work setting.
