Kinderdance Welcomes New Kindermotion® Franchisee Kimberly Reece to Washtenaw County, Michigan
Kinderdance International is proud to welcome Kimberly Reece as the newest Kindermotion® franchisee serving. Through Kindermotion® Washtenaw, Kimberly will introduce children, schools, and community organizations to an innovative movement-based program that promotes physical fitness, confidence, mindfulness, and overall wellness.
Kimberly brings more than 14 years of healthcare experience to her new role, having worked at the University of Michigan and C.S. Mott Children's Hospital in pediatric healthcare. Her passion for improving the lives of children extends beyond the clinical setting as she pursues a Master of Science in Integrative Medicine and Community Wellness, combining consciousness-based learning with mind-body wellness practices.
"I have always enjoyed working with children and helping them reach their fullest potential," said Kimberly Reece. "Kindermotion gives me the opportunity to provide young people with tools for self-expression, creative exploration, and healthy movement. Kindermotion® is an innovative educational movement program developed by Kinderdance International that empowers children through age-appropriate fitness, movement, mindfulness, yoga-inspired activities, sports readiness, and social-emotional learning. Opening a Kinderdance® franchise in New York City was extremely challenging - marketing and teaching via subway and bus rather than a car. After a year and a half, I have over 600 children enrolled in the program and employ three teachers. My dance experience was little more than a good sense of rhythm, and my corporate background was very different from educating young children. However, the thorough training and continuing follow-up support gave me the confidence and ability to teach the programs myself as well as train other teachers.
