Michele: “Tell me, why did you decide on franchising as the way of starting your own business?”

Shanna: “I felt that franchising was going to give me more opportunity to learn quickly. They already have a plan that helps you figure out how you're going to run your business and that makes things easier for you to start up and get going. I wanted something fun!”

“Candy Bouquets, well they're very floral, very colorful, for example here the roses are solid milk chocolate, all the big round candy on these are different flavors, very good quality chocolate, you won't find this at the grocery store.”

“Most of the candy we get is from Candy Bouquet, they have their own distribution which makes being a franchisee with them very easy. We have the opportunity to buy everything through them to build the bouquets, we also enjoy the freedom to go out and find our own vendors for many of the different things and just play with color, have fun and have a good time with it.”

“We have a week of training, learning how to make the bouquets, a little business background, we learn a lot of information during it. Candy Bouquet did a good job with the training. We spent a lot of time focusing on how to build the bouquets – you get faster with practise! Ongoing support is available too, you don't feel like you're on your own.”
