Interview with David Gray of Little Caesars

At the 2009 IFA Convention in San Diego, David Gray, vice president of franchise services with Little Ceasars, met with Lillie Burroughs of Franchise Direct for an interview about franchise opportunities with one of the world’s best-known pizza franchises.
As David says, Little Caesars is “the largest carry-out only pizza chain in the world.” They’re presently celebrating “their 50th year of bringing great products and great value to families around the world.”
But what makes Little Ceasars, which is still a family-owned and operated, so unique?
“Value,” David says. “We always have great products, we’re great-priced for families and we’re fun. Nobody’s ever in a bad mood when they’re having a pizza.”
David also outlines the ideal franchisee for Little Caesars as “somebody that wants to work a plan. We want somebody that wants to get in there, roll-up their sleeves and make it work. Working with people, being around people, being the driving force that makes it happen: that’s want we want.”
Prior experience with pizza franchises is not essential towards being successful with Little Caesars.
“In a lot of ways, you’re better served, because you don’t have any pre-existing ideas about what you should or shouldn’t be doing,”
