Here’s A Glimpse Into The McDonald’s Of The Future
We’re in the process of preparing a report on McDonald’s and their reign as one of the leading brands in franchising. This report deals with a lot with Ray Kroc and the rise of McDonald’s. But today we can also share with you a glimpse of the McDonald’s of the future.
The NACS has reported that McDonald’s is undergoing a “$1 billion facelift” at the moment, as it plans the “biggest store-by-store makeover in the company’s 56-year history”, which should be completed by 2015. It’s a massive undertaking and will see McDonald’s completely changing the interiors (and some the exterior) of their units. Apparently, the ‘flourescent’ look will be especially toned down.
The net sum, insiders say, is that McDonald’s will now take on a more ‘Starbucksy’ feel. USA Today was given an exclusive tour of the McDonald’s of the future - located in Tampa, Florida - and I think you’ll agree that it’s a big departure from the look and feel of how many of today’s McDonald’s.
