1. Hot dogs are second to hamburgers as the most popular food in the U.S. In fact, Americans eat over 20 billion hot dogs annually. That's 50 hot dogs consumed per person every year. 2. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reports that nearly 40 percent of American adults eat hot dogs, french fries and other fast food every day.
